Citywide volume is down 26.2% against the prior 12 months, 107,931 incidents against 146,256. That is a substantial reduction in raw volume, but the signal mix tells a more active story: 29 spikes and 535 tracked signals across 114 neighborhoods, alongside 254 below-trend readings and 238 sustained-shift signals. The spikes in other larceny, Tarzana and Encino among them, stand out against an otherwise broad pattern of decline.
The structural picture for Los Angeles is one of continued volume reduction, and December adds to that run.
