Cincinnati Crime Rate — June 2025

Downtown robbery ran 368% above its multi-year baseline.

Downtown robbery is the sharpest single-category move in Cincinnati's June 2025 briefing — a well-above-trend spike that leads the month's signals. CUF other-larceny has been the recurring backdrop, and it remains in the top five, but robbery in a high-density corridor is the fresh story this period.

Citywide volume is up 1.2% against the prior 12 months — 14,569 incidents against 14,397 — essentially flat, but the mix tells a more active story underneath. Of 67 signals across 50 neighborhoods, 28 are spikes and 24 are sustained shifts, against just 4 below-trend moves. Mt. Airy shows up twice in the top five, with both aggravated assault and robbery running above trend; Riverside_Sedamsville rounds out the larceny picture on the property side.

The structural pattern this month is a broad, spike-heavy distribution rather than one dominant neighborhood. CUF other-larceny has only one month in the top ranking — not a long run — so the demotion reflects the robbery signal pulling ahead, not a multi-month fatigue. With 50 neighborhoods registering signals and the spike count at 28, June is worth watching to see whether the distribution stays this wide or narrows back toward a few focal points.
